Bring it on 2012.

First off, Happy New Year to everyone.

So what's going to happen at the Battle Barn this year? Well, we've got a Warhammer 40k league that will be starting up in the next week or so that will end in a 1500pt tournament. Opening round will be 500pts and every two weeks your army will grow by 250pts. Here's my favorite part of the whole thing, fully painted AND based, WYSIWYG miniatures only. You can only put down primed, partially assembled models so many times. Honestly though, how difficult is it to paint and base 1500pts? Just sit down and paint fool.

There are a few of us who will jumping into Warmachine/Hordes this year as well. It's not many people at the moment but I'm hoping to change that over the next month or so. A few of us tried it back in 2010 and we were having a lot of fun playing it. Unfortunately, there were only four or five of us playing the game. That's just not enough to sustain a game system for very long. Eventually, we all sold off our factions and went back to 40k. This year I'm going to really try to get our players to give Warmachine/Hordes a try. I'm hopeful that the game will stick this time around. We'll see.
